Matthew 7:24
"Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock."
The hardest things humans have been proven to do are changing our heart’s desires, especially when what we think we know is so closely knitted in us and to our hearts. That is why it is harder to put the things we have learned through God's revelation into practice, yet Jesus says whoever does that is a wise man building his house on a rock. Even if it is hard, keep pushing and making those changes in your life, for they might just save YOUR LIFE. Jesus says in John 15:2, "He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful."
We should take this in two approaches. One, in our Christian life, we are called to bear fruit. God has blessed us with resources and skills, equipped us with what we need to accomplish our purposes in His Kingdom. Two, let us take the same strategy Jesus implements in the kingdom in our lives as well, CUT OFF those places in your life that "bear no fruit", places that waste your energy and make you exhausted to put God's word into practice. Our prayer today is that God may help us to have enough strength to slay these places in our lives, whether sleeping times, friends, or media, God you reveal to us. Help us to put into practice what you have revealed to all of us. Help us to be faithful stewards, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
" Adonai, Jesus Christ. Give us the strength and wisdom to put your word into practice "
