Reflection

The default reaction for many when faced with trouble is to run and flee, forsaking all they were doing at that time. This is very much the case for many Christians who face trouble; we tend to start looking for supplemental tools and things. We are very careful to say that God is mighty and strong; we just need extra this and that. Truth is, the moment we start looking for refuge in other things, we have created a false idol and made them take the place of God.

Our refuge is God, and it is to him we should run in our moments of trouble. He makes the plans and traps of those who plan wickedness over us to fall on them. What a mighty God; there is no one like Him. 1 Samuel 2:2 reminds us that there is no one like God, no one like Him, and no one beside Him. We are at peace knowing that God sits on the throne; He is our chief cornerstone. He guides our lives and directs us daily into our purposes and callings. In this way, we become faithful stewards.

PRAYER

Thank you Jesus Christ for your hand of guidance upon us; we could do nothing without you, you are truly our everything. We pray that you may show us what to do, how to operate, and how to carry out the callings you have placed in our lives. Thank you for your protection of us. We completely trust our lives with you with no reservations. Keep walking with us and reveal to us how we can be faithful stewards.

In Jesus name, Amen
